EuroCHRIE Amsterdam 2010

Passion for Hospitality Excellence in Amsterdam!

Saxion Hospitality Business School and Stenden International Hotel Management were the proud hosts of the annual EuroCHRIE conference. Over 300 delegates from universities around the world and representatives from the industry gathered in the Mövenpick hotel in Amsterdam from 25-27 October to discuss the latest research in hospitality and tourism.

Moreover, the event proved to be an excellent opportunity to link up with university partners to discuss academic cooperation. Students from Saxion and Stenden university had a large share in the organisation. They organised the ‘Amsterdam Experience’ where touristic highlights of Amsterdam like the Heineken Experience, the red light district, the Amsterdam historical museum and the Jordaan district were visited and discussed within the light of the conference theme ‘Passion for Hospitality Excellence’.

During the EuroCHRIE gala and awards dinner the board of EuroCHRIE expressed their thanks to the organisers for an outstanding conference that established the names of  Saxion Hospitality Business School and Stenden International Hotel Management worldwide as a centre of excellence in education and research in tourism and hospitality.
